Default Have we heard about nightfall improvements?

With the release of factions and in the time since, we have been given several improvements to the UI, storage, Hero Menu, Guild Menu, Guild Hall, and general gameplay experience. The ability to map warp with your party, Observer Mode, PvP map consolidation, and The Guild Hall button are just a few examples of what I am talking about. I am wondering if we know for sure what, if any, changes anet plans to make with the release of Nightfall.

As for suggestions I would go with:

-A stable for pets
-A "Keyring" tab in storage, or a Dye locker
-A profession changer add-on in the guild hall
-The ability to warp to more than just one location when traveling between campaigns. i.e.-warping to tyria being given the option of warping to L.A., Droks, Ascalon, etc.

But yeah, anybody heard anything about upcoming game improvements?

You should search the forums for the build templates, the hero system, the graphical updates to water, and the new atributes and skills tab.

I'm eagerly awaiting the hero system, what I'm asking about is more across the board changes to the gameplay experience. I would love to have the time to dig through all these threads but alas, I don't, and no search button :-/

New attributes and skills tab does spark my interest, can you provide a link to the discussion?

Sure.

First noticeable difference is the "Skills and Attributes" dialog which combined those two things in one uber huge dialog. In addition there had been the mysterious "Templates" button, which had been existent but grayed out and unusable. An unnamed source said there will not be any comment on that button from anyone but of course we should feel free to take pictures and start spreading rumors in the internet. Well, here they are, hehe.

-Water and Lighting. But that's all we know for now.

-The obvious is interface changes minus the recent vital bar improvements.

-Screen effects that reflect the condition you are in. (can't forget that one)

Guild Wars Nightfall introduces new customizable Heroes who level up, follow player instructions in combat, and use skills and equipment of the player's choosing. These Heroes will follow the player through savage coasts, ancient monuments, and poisonous deserts during an epic story that spans twenty missions and hundreds of quests. And for the ultimate one-on-one challenge, competitive players can choose to enter the new Hero vs. Hero Battles, where they group with a custom team of Heroes and fight against other players from around the world and their customized groups of Heroes.

oh my god no, tell me this isn't true.... Major screen annoyance when under a condition? that's like 90% of the time... Dazed? poisoned? blind? crippled?
As if it weren't annoying enough allready.. sigh...

If I wanted my screen to look weird while playing GW, I'd drink ales. I want to be able to see the game clearly whilst playing. Don't mess up my graphics Anet!!

Its not like you have to view the effects. Turn off post-processing effects in the graphics options. That should remove it, just like it removes that graying of the screen at death. It will remove things you want kept at the same time, but if you really dont want the effects then disable them.

yeh looks a bit different the graphics engine is getting a lil bit outdated, but good for another expansion pack then on to GW2.
THey seem to have made quite a few little tweaks should be interesting.

Mounts riding (worm), flying thins, you can go in some houses on citys ,salvage options, builds saver, heroes stuff, henchman follow ur orders, graphics, minigames, and more to come, i dont know.. nightfall has so many improvements that hasnt be revealed yet , that the factions team must be really sad of what they made.

you are very new or you would realize they can update/change/improve the graphics engine on the fly.

or did you miss that a short time ago it was updated from DX8 TO dx9?

there is chapter 4 already being worked on and no GW2 in sight
